Architect / Senior Technologist Job Captain
Full-Time, Senior Level, 100% Remote - must live in Ontario, Canada
City Build Recruitment is partnering with our client, a boutique firm specializing in Seniors Housing. We are currently seeking a talented individual to join their growing team and contribute to the production of construction documents and contract administration for long-term care and retirement homes across the GTA and rural Ontario.

This role offers a fully remote work environment with flexible hours and operates entirely within Revit. As a Job Captain, you will oversee the production of comprehensive permit, tender, and IFC drawing sets while managing a team of interns and technologists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce and supervise permit, tender, and IFC drawing sets.
- Coordinate and integrate consultants drawings.
- Review and refine project specifications.
- Conduct building code reviews.
- Attend and document meetings with clients, consultants, AHJs, and contractors.
- Supervise and mentor a small team of interns and technologists, ensuring productivity, adherence to deadlines, and quality control.
- Provide design feedback when necessary.
- Collaborate with the schematic design team to enhance office standards and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in an Ontario architecture firm, with a strong focus on construction documents and proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- 10+ years Canadian work experience
- Master of Architecture (MArch) or Technologist Degree from a Canadian university or college.
- In-depth knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, building science, contracts, and construction methods.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office suite. (The recruitment process requires a REVIT test)
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
- Team-oriented with a proactive approach, responsibility, and reliability in meeting deadlines.
- Experience in seniors housing and long-term care is highly desirable.
