Quiroga Law office is looking for a Legal Assistant (Remote), a person who is serious, diligent and reserved, with a penchant for results.
Responsibilities:
The responsibility of this position is to handle specialized work efficiently, safely and competently. The position requires outstanding attention to detail, concern for the accurate correctness of work and a deep-rooted commitment to completing tasks within the agreed upon time frame.The person in this position will take the job seriously, with a deep sense of responsibility and will be disciplined. A somewhat more brisk pace than usual will be the norm for this position.The focus is on detailed and specialized work. The person in this position will require clearly defined work, responsibilities and reporting relationships, ongoing training opportunities to gain practice and increase security, and frequently express appreciation of the person's competence, conscientiousness and loyalty. The position will provide security in a stable work environment, allowing the individual to plan, focus and complete the tasks at hand. When changes in the nature of the work occur, the person in this position will need direction, training and support. The position will generally be task-oriented, requiring a person with a conservative, careful and cautious approach to the work.
This position will have the following characteristics:

Task:

  • Review each client's case type.
  • Keep record and update cases.
  • Verify what information is available and what information is missing.
  • Write and request information required by the case.
  • Enter information into the system to generate the necessary forms.
  • Draft documents and letters for immigration.
  • Previous certified customer service experience.
  • Send complete packets of each case to paralegal or attorney for review.
  • Contact clients to provide them with ongoing and updated case information.
  • Contact client to request documents necessary for their case.
  • Prepare letters and documents necessary to request documentation.
  • Follow up on documents that have been requested.

Skills:

  • Bilingual person, with the ability to write documents,
  • Easy to learn.
  • Good ability to be observant to take care of details.
  • Strong customer service skills and orientation.
  • Microsoft office tools skills.
  • You need to have knowledge in Office tools such as knowing and filling out documents and letter.
  • English C1 or advanced level.
  • Extremely task-oriented.
  • High standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Loyal to established guidelines and procedures.
  • Requires a high degree of information to be gathered prior to making a decision.
  • Decision making in the field of specialty and technique must be comfortable Reserved, factual, formal and sincere communication.
  • Asking for direction from management in areas outside of expertise.
  • Strict follow-through on delegated tasks and responsibilities.
  • Follow established policies and procedures, and expect others to do the same.
  • Leads by example is the technical expert in the area and does the work required of subordinates.
    Schedules: Monday through Friday Pacific time. 8AM-5PM
