What your days might look like

Reporting to the Data Manager, you will be part of a highly collaborative but remotely distributed team delivering our core reusable data assets that enable a wide variety of use cases such as report building, insights generation, ML applications and customer marketing. We are focused on delivering the most valuable impacts first, while also lifting our documentation, standards and reusability to enable even more speed as we deliver.

As an Analytics Engineer, you’ll be:

• Data assets development: Serve as the directly responsible individual (DRI) to translate business requirements and existing complex queries into a reusable data models / assets using dbt.
• Data assets cataloguing and documentation: Develop and maintain the documentation of core and business-specific data models / assets.
• Reverse ETL and customer engagement platform support: Develop and maintain data models specifically for our reverse ETL and customer engagement platform use cases.
• dbt code convention: Maintain and enforce all coding convention and standards across all dbt models, including naming.
• dbt code performance: Maintain and develop all dbt models in line with best practices to ensure optimum performance.
• Intra-team collaboration: Working with other Data Analyst(s) to translate requirements into reusable and performant data models and with Data Engineer(s) to ensure data model performance is optimised.

What you will bring?

• 4+ years in the Data space as an analytics engineer / data engineer.
• Demonstrated experience in ETL and data modelling projects.
• Demonstrated experience architecting flexible and scalable data warehouse and modelling practice.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and translate business requirements / metrics into technical data model development plans.
• Ability to connect the dots between technical implementation work and business context.

Bonus Points:

• dbt experience strongly preferred.
