Who We’re Looking For - Reporting to the Director, Product Management for Wet Goods, we are looking for a Senior Product Development Manager, Wet Goods to be responsible for category ownership of new formulation product lines. This role will focus on new formula development, claims substantiation, scale up of new product, and launch calendar ownership.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and maintain new product development for a personal grooming category within MANSCAPED® portfolio, generating the launch calendar for the category within 3-year plan. This role will own portfolio management, by identifying opportunities for new products and/or discontinuations within category– owning the full product lifecycle 
  • Creation of conception briefs for new product launches, focusing on new product vision backed by market data, consumer experience, and innovation to the category. Leverage consumer data points to influence the creation of new products that are designed for success in our markets 
  • Lead new product development execution including formula development, claims testing, packaging conception, artwork initiation, and production execution 
  • Manage accurate product COGs creation through gross margin analysis and financial justification of business case, inclusive of SRP recommendation 
  • Prepare and present project level status to senior leadership and cross functional teams. Identify all project risks within the development cycle, while resolving obstacles and risk mitigation plans 
  • Stay current on latest personal grooming trends, and develop expertise of the competitive environment to fully own category, while maintaining strong brand perspective for category leadership 
  • Partner closely with PMO, Design, Marketing, QA, Regulatory, and Channel teams to ensure successful and timely product launch. Influence the development of communication that promote the benefits and key positioning of products and services 
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in executional product development and category ownership role   
  • Proven expertise in overseeing the entire lifecycle of Product Development within personal grooming category 
  • Process-driven mentality, with technical skill set in formula development 
  • Working knowledge of MS project, Asana (or equivalent project management system), and Specification systems 
  • Proven experience supporting a successful product launch  
  • Proven ability to create and execute comprehensive launch calendars aligned with MANSCAPED® roadmap, while effectively identifying opportunities for portfolio optimization  
  • Skilled in crafting detailed conception briefs that articulate a clear product vision supported by market trends, consumer preferences, and category innovation, leading to the development of products designed for market success
  • Strong leadership in new product development execution, including overseeing formula development, claims testing, packaging design, artwork initiation, and production, while ensuring accurate cost-of-goods analysis and financial justification 
  • Ability to communicate project statuses and risks effectively to senior leadership and cross-functional teams, facilitating resolution of obstacles and implementation of risk mitigation plans, while maintaining a pulse on industry trends and competitive landscape to drive category leadership and brand perspective 
  • Collaborative, resourceful, ability to learn quickly and adapt to an evolving atmosphere   
Compensation Range
$130,000$138,000 USD
