We are hiring for one of our ecosystem projects. They are a pioneering sports entertainment platform powered by blockchain technology. They combine the excitement of sports predictions and fantasy leagues with the transparency and trust of blockchain.

They are looking for a Tech Lead focusing on backend development to join our team and potentially become a founding member of the company. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the server-side logic of our platform. You will work closely with our frontend developers, QA, and the development studio to integrate the smart contracts, web2 and web3 components. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the scalability, performance, and security of our backend infrastructure.

In this role, you will:

Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs.
Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Implement security and data protection measures.
Design, manage and optimize database operations.
Troubleshoot and debug applications.
Collaborate with the outsourced development studio on knowledge transfer and software component integration including smart contracts and web3 components.
Participate in the planning and execution of product features and releases.
Mentor and guide junior developers (if applicable).

You might thrive in this role if you have:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field,
Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Senior Backend Developer with high growth potential.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development.
Strong proficiency in server-side languages and frameworks such as Node.js, web3Auth, Django, Python, Java, or Ruby.
Experience with database management systems like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB. Experience in ORM is a plus.
Familiar with RESTful API / Websocket design and implementation.
Understanding of blockchain technology and web3 integration is a plus.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Docker and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
Experience with smart contracts and blockchain development.
Familiarity with the sports betting or fantasy sports industry.
High proficiency in written and spoken English.
