Job Description

This is a unique role that combines data science and analytics with data engineering and development. The incumbent performs complete roles of data lifecycle: from designing data architecture and structure, doing data analysis, processing, and optimization, including visualization & predictive models, up to developing programs or tools to integrate various sources and format of data with the enterprise data warehouse which could be in the cloud or on-premise. The ideal candidate should understand business and technical requirements, translating them to agile stories that help establish data-driven decision making across the organization.

This position works with Policy Services - Correcting policies that need to changed, Data clean up issues, Debugging

Will be working closely with Bonie Sausa, training and shadowing him.

Qualifications

Identify, design and build data architecture systems and processes to support business needs. This may include implementation of internal process improvements, such as automating manual processes, optimizing near real-time data delivery through various tools such as Snowflake and Microsoft PowerBI. ·

Using various SQL, change data capture (CDC) and big data platforms. ·
Perform data cleansing, analysis and making reports with recommendations. This may include forecasting trends that impact the organization. ·
Build and test scalable Big Data ecosystems to be used in running algorithms and predictive models, finding hidden patterns and data modelling. ·
Identifies data collection sources for business needs, integrates data with other applications and data marts, and conducts automation of master data management. ·
As part of the Agile teams, participates in software development work which includes application design, coding, code review and testing. ·
Complies with software engineering best practices to ensure enterprise architecture principles and standards are observed.
