Presales Engineer at Nuix plays a pivotal role in advancing sales opportunities by leveraging storytelling, product strategy understanding, stakeholder engagement, telemetry data analysis, and presentation skills. This position involves collaborating with sales teams, engaging with clients to understand their needs, and effectively showcasing Nuix solutions to address pain points and drive business value.
If local to one of our offices the candidate is required to attend the office a minimum of 2 days per week, but may voluntarily elect to work either remotely or from the office for the remaining 3 days of the week. (Our office locations: Herndon, VA, Pittsburgh, PA, Conshohocken, PA).
Key Responsibilities
• Understand how stories and new material can be used to advance existing opportunities or educate clients by reinforcing pain points or showcasing Nuix-aligned approaches.
• Collaborate with sales teams to communicate guidance to clients based on their requirements,
milestones, and objectives.
• Understand core principles and product strategy, engaging in discussions to assess the impact of emerging capabilities on clients.
• Present routine product showcases and collaborate with Nuix Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for deep dives into advanced functionality.
• Utilize telemetry data to answer new questions posed by Sales, prepare and present Baseline
assessments to support upsell and demonstrate ROI.
• Support sales in presentation of established case studies and RFP/presentation preparation with routine telemetry data.
• Guide client feedback and positioning to document current state/future state objectives, growth plans, and track progress.
• Assist Sales in leveraging this information to drive upsell discussions, build internal support for Nuix products, and engage user groups.
• Present standard Nuix Advantage packages and document client feedback for customization to meet specific client needs.
• Prepare and share material with different teams to ensure insight into the opportunity, key drivers, milestones, and objectives.
• Work under the guidance of senior team members to finalize Closing Packages and participate in Implementation Kickoffs.
• Participate in meetings with clients and support Sales in handling objections or asking challenging questions to move sales opportunities forward.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
• 5 years of experience
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in presales or technical sales support roles.
• Strong understanding of Nuix products, core principles, and product strategy.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze telemetry data and derive actionable insights.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience in handling client objections and challenging questions to drive sales opportunities
forward
