The Test Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through rigorous testing. They are responsible for designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions, and contributing to the overall improvement of our testing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute test plans and test cases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Identify, record, and track bugs to closure using defect tracking tools.
Develop and implement automated testing scripts.
Analyze test results and participate in troubleshooting and triaging issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.
Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
Contribute to the improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools.
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
Collaborate with software engineers in the development and execution of test plans.
Stay updated with new testing tools and test strategies.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
Proven work experience in software quality assurance and testing.
Proficiency in using testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.
Experience in testing web applications, mobile applications, and backend systems.
Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience with scripting and programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative, and team-oriented environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
