Our esteemed client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join their Kubernetes Engineering team. This role is pivotal in architecting, deploying, and managing the firm's Kubernetes clusters globally, placing you at the heart of the firm's technology strategy.

Your Impact:

As a key member of the Unix Engineering department, you will play a crucial role in providing a top-tier Kubernetes platform for the firm's container runtime, both on-premise and in the cloud. This position offers the unique opportunity to drive developer efficiency and ensure infrastructure stability by evolving the ecosystem with CNCF solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineer and implement components within the Kubernetes infrastructure, integrating with on-premise and cloud-based services.
  • Collaborate with application teams to engineer bespoke solutions, assisting with architecture and design to meet specific requirements.
  • Manage hands-on configuration, upgrades, and ongoing management of the Kubernetes platform.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience with the architecture, implementation, and operation of on-premises containerized environments.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes platform management, including hands-on configuration and upgrades.
  • Familiarity with OpenShift, Ceph, or ArgoCD will be considered an advantage.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD development tools such as Git, GitLab/GitHub.
  • Demonstrable experience in achieving project goals in the integration of complex technology concepts.
  • Expertise in scripting and/or a high-level programming language, preferably Golang or shell scripting.

Education:

  • A Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Science or Engineering, with a deep understanding of Linux and containers.
  • Configuration management tools experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of IT security practices, including TLS certificates, key management, OAuth, LDAP.
  • A CNCF Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification would be highly advantageous.
  • A demonstrated interest and ability in staying abreast of the evolving container-runtime landscape, including new components and technologies.
