Job Description

Homebrew is looking for an Hardware Engineer (Server) for our Hardware Division, to provide pre-sales and post-sale support for our server customers.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Server Support and Maintenance: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair server hardware issues on-site, ensuring prompt resolution to minimize downtime and data loss.
  2. Hardware Troubleshooting: Analyze and resolve server hardware-related problems, including issues with servers, storage, and network equipment.
  3. On-Site Support: Provide on-site support to customers, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of server hardware and peripherals.
  4. Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of server configurations, maintenance, and repairs.
  5. Collaboration: Work with Hardware Design team, to upstream product improvements, customer feedback.

 

Requirements:

  1. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of server hardware, including servers, storage, and network equipment. Familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and hypervisors (e.g., VMware, Proxmox, Openstack).
  2. Troubleshooting Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and identify root causes.
  3. Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with customers, colleagues, and internal teams.
  4. Physical Demands: Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment (e.g., servers, storage devices).
  5. Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel to customer sites, as required, to provide on-site support.

 

Nice-to-Have:

  1. Industry Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Cisco CCNA, etc.
  2. Experience: Prior experience in a similar role, providing post-sales support for server hardware or similar technical support experience.
  3. Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and effective time management skills.
  • [Plus] Proficient in Chinese
  • [Plus] Experience with Liquid Cooling and Immersion Cooling
