About

Founded by a team of Stanford University and Georgia Tech researchers, Inspirit, is an immersive educational platform providing the tools instructors need to create interactive lessons for students to experience science, in ways that were considered impossible before. Inspirit’s virtual lab platform replaces the ‘digital whiteboard’ and passive video lectures with interactive 3D tools. Our labs are self-paced and customizable with any science curriculum. Prior research shows that we boost self-efficacy, deep engagement, and critical thinking, all of which can promote long-term retention and reduce attrition rates.

We provide virtual free-roam open worlds with all the tools necessary to create custom lessons and worksheets for K12 and higher education science topics. Thus, our platform can easily be integrated into any existing science curriculum. As instructors are becoming accustomed to adopting the technology needed for remote learning, we are seeing a high demand for our platform.

What Will You Do?

• You will lead market research for our science curriculum through user focus groups, and interviewing subject matter experts in the US
  
• You will lead our team of designers, animators, and VR developers to create exciting new education content
  
• You will participate in the Creative Process from Start to Finish
  
• You will lead Brainstorming sessions to create engaging and thought-proving educational VR scenarios
  
• You will creatively visualize and communicate concepts in VR to cross-functional teams
  
• You will outline, write, storyboard, revise and proofread narrative scenarios
  
• You will iteratively play-test our products to provide content and user experience feedback
  
• You will lead all Inspirit Communication (Newsletters, press releases, social media content, etc.).
  
• You will conduct 1:1 sessions, seminars, and workshops with teachers to help them create customized lessons on our platform
  
• You will create and review copy to meet quality standards, including accuracy and adherence to product goals.
  

Requirements

What Skills Do you Need to Succeed?

• You have 3+ years of Content Writing experience
  
• You have 3+ years of Science curriculum creation and alignment experience
  
• You have 3+ years of teaching science for at least Middle School
  
• You have a strong understanding of High School and introductory college-level Science
  
• You have the ability to research, build, and set a curriculum that is aligned to the US K12 syllabus
  
• You have the ability to research and curate a user experience framework in the form of storyboards in alignment with instructional standards
  
• You are an experienced writer with strong editorial skills needed to create an engrossing story
  
• You have a deep understanding of storytelling form and techniques
  
• You have the ability to create engaging content that draws parallels to the world outside the textbook
  
• You are willing to work flexible hours
  
• You are passionate about working in the immersive STEM education industry
  
• You have strong leadership and communication skills
  
• You work with integrity and have a positive attitude
