Description

Black Arts District + Intersection of Change launched a $10 million campaign for a two-part development project – expansion of the Harris-Marcus Center (1947 Pennsylvania Avenue) and a ground up development of a new art center in the 1900 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue. The Black Arts District has raised 2.5 million in funding so far. The Capital Campaign Director position is responsible for raising, tracking, and reporting for the remaining funding for this project. This position is considered temporary at approximately 2 years of service needed.

Responsibilities include

· research, identify, and apply for funding to meet remainder of project costs;

· track funding and submit funding and grant reports;

· Overall campaign management and organization including pipelines, prospect tracking, strategy, task assignment and maintenance of timelines;

· Scheduling meetings, preparing talking points, assembling presentations, and full meeting prep for, Board members, campaign volunteers and BAD staff;

· Overseeing acknowledgement of all campaign gifts and pledges and preparation of pledge payment reminders and pledge agreements;

· Writing all campaign correspondence including solicitation proposals, meeting requests, and meeting follow up;

· Maintaining master campaign calendar to maximize cultivation events and keep campaign committee on track;

· Organizing and monitoring volunteer assignments and follow-up, and assisting in all aspects of volunteer-led Events;

· Writing capital campaign grants and reports.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Baltimore, MD 21217
