Title: Manager - Business Architect (Reinsurance)

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Business Architect Reinsurance SME is an experienced resource on a project team responsible for analyzing and designing new business processes. The Business Architect Reinsurance SME understand the company’s business strategy, operating vision, business imperatives and capabilities, and how they affect technology imperatives. Understand the key challenges that sponsor and key stakeholders face. Work with other architects to explore and define how the proposed solutions will fit into the overall enterprise architecture. Identify and communicate any cross-area or cross-release issues that may affect other project areas.

  • Acts as an experienced resource on a project team responsible for analyzing and designing new business processes.
  • Will participate in documenting customer requirements to assist the development team in implementation.
  • Works with the other Business Architect and other stakeholders to assess current capabilities and identify high-level customer requirements.
  • Elicits detailed product requirements and use cases and develops and maintain the business requirements.
  • Participates in documenting customer requirements to assist the development team in implementation.
  • Transitions the requirements and use cases to the technical team and ensure a clear and complete understanding of the requirements.
  • Participates in quality management reviews as outlined in the Quality Management practice, in particular reviews of the designs, prototypes and other requirement work products.
  • Translates requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for product and user acceptance testing.
  • Performs other related duties and activities as required.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE:

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, or higher education level, or foreign equivalent, preferably in area with analytic emphasis
  • Minimum of 8 years’ professional experience, preferably in a similar role
  • Experience interfacing with customers, including customer presentations

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Experience in requirements gathering, identifying gaps, estimating, implementation, test planning and execution, and User Acceptance Testing definition and execution
  • Experience translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for assembly, product, and user acceptance testing
  • Experience/knowledge of P&C Insurance software applications
  • Experience/knowledge of software development life cycle for P&C insurance software
  • Minimum of 6+ years of progressive, relevant consulting experience with Reinsurance in the following areas:
    • Assumed Treaty and/or Facultative business management
    • (Retro) Ceded Treaty and/or Facultative business management
    •  Reinsurance Technical and Financial Accounting
  • Experience and detailed knowledge of the P&C Reinsurance Insurance industry and core systems.
  • Advanced knowledge using Microsoft Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL.

Travel: 25%

Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the country of the job location.
