HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT:

In collaboration with TMH leaders, the IT Application Integration Analyst:

  • Participates in planning, coordination, development, implementation, and maintenance activities related to integrating applications and technologies within the organization’s application integration environment.
  • Collaborates with clinicians and system end users to design, build, test, train, implement, evaluate, and maintain Epic and associated third party interfaces.
  • Utilizes a basic knowledge of Health Level Seven (HL7) interfaces, building, testing, and implementation.
  • Analyzes and understand business problems; recommends solutions meeting organizational clinical and business systems maintenance goals.
  • Provides a secure, effective, integrated patient care delivery system that improves outcomes, reduces cost, increases efficiency, and enhances patients’ experiences continually.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY:

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, IT management, software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, computer information systems (IS), applied engineering, health information management (HIM), health informatics, nursing informatics, nursing, health science, education, business administration, health care, or a related field. 

Required Experience:

  • Two (2) years of directly related professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Epic Bridges integration configuration.  
  • Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL)-like language.  
  • Experience with HL7 message structure.  Experience with Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) standards.  
  • Journeyman knowledge of data exchange interfaces (e.g., building, testing, and implementing).  
  • Knowledge of integration best practices.  
  • Understanding of relational database management system (RDBMS) concepts.  
  • Familiarity with hospital workflows.  
  • Proficient in programming languages, integration standards, and data structures.  
  • Proficient in at least one of the following: Python, C#, Visual Basic, or other object-oriented programming language.  
  • Proficient in web services and application programming interface (API) technologies.  
  • Ability to analyze/understand business problems and recommend solutions.

Required Certification/License/Registry:

  • Related Epic certification(s) required. Multiple certifications may be required depending on functional area and job responsibilities.
  • Contingent offers may apply: Required certification(s) must be obtained within ninety (90) days from last Epic class completion. If a required certification is not obtained after three (3) examination attempts, the incumbent has a period of thirty (30) days after the last examination attempt to apply for other job opportunities within the organization. If unable to acquire another position within the organization, the incumbent’s employment with Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, Inc. (TMH) ends.
