SAP IBP Principal Consultant.
A Principal Consultant at Argano is a senior professional in the consulting family who provides leadership and guidance on complex issues. They are subject matter experts in their field of proficiency and can communicate the impact their recommendations will have across other workstreams and how it will impact the client’s business objectives. They lead activities related to their workstream with clients and lead project management responsibilities related to their field of proficiency. They are responsible for delivering quality work within their field of proficiency within large client projects and leading the activities of other consultants. They provide expert advice, guidance, and solutions related to technology and information systems. They are mentors to other consultants and lead the activities of consultants in complicated workstreams to deliver quality work that will drive customer satisfaction. They model excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well within a project team or program.

Reporting into the Planning and Optimization Practice, you will join a team that has been guiding major transformation initiatives and critical projects for our clients.
The Argano Supply Chain Systems Integration practice helps organizations analyze and improve their supply chains. From a long-term strategy determining where to place operating locations; identifying the best areas for capital investment; delivering to a specific customer on time in full, we explore methods for maximizing performance at every stage in the process.
Your Charter Has a Number Of Components
- Work closely with the Engagement or Project Manager to review the high-level plans developed during the sales process to build the detailed workplans and the inventory of required deliverables needed to deliver the required outcomes for our clients.
- Leverage our LIFT delivery methodology and past project key learnings while building the required plan which uniquely fits the client situation.
- Establish a strong working relationship with the client business leaders and project sponsors.
- Work with Argano’s clients to lead the implementation of SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) module(s) as defined in the Statement of Work.
- Be able to help clients understand how to utilize SAP IBP modules across different horizons.
- Manage client blueprint and design sessions to create seamless solutions within a client’s SCM environment.
- Lead Supply Chain and Decision Analysis to identify and size improvement opportunities in client’s supply chain planning, logistics and distribution networks utilizing SAP IBP.
- Utilize BI/BW or similar analytics programming tools & concepts to develop solutions for clients.
- Consult client on their effective usage of ERP systems (particularly SAP) and adjacent systems.
- Be prepared to work across one or more projects (at one or more clients).
- Actively participate in the development and refinement of our Systems Integration improvement methods, tools and capabilities.
- Lead/champion a specific set of Systems Integration leading practice capabilities teaching & training the rest of our community of practice how to best deploy when needed.
A successful candidate must be able to demonstrate these key requirements before formally entering our recruitment process:
- 15 plus years of experience in supply chain planning or supply chain execution.
- Min. BS degree in a related technical field (Engineering, Supply Chain) or BA degree in business with relevant job experience.
- Five plus years of experience in Supply Chain and/or Operations management, either from industry or consulting. More specifically, strong proficiency in the concepts, processes, techniques and tools surrounding S&OP, Demand, Supply, Inventory and Logistics.
- Exceptional demonstrated ability to learn quickly and apparent strong problem— solving skills/mindset.
- Must display a keen interest to learn, absorb complex topics, and ability to convey complex topics in simple memorable terms.
- Strong communication skills; written, oral, group facilitation.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, confident in your ability to execute work.
- Ability to step into an unstructured customer situation and organize/structure it according to goals.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated expertise in MS Office tools
- Strong ability to collaborate as part of a team, and willing to step in to any role to assure customer success.
- Requires minimum 10 full lifecycle implementations of SAP IBP (Demand Planning, Supply & Response, S&OP, Control Tower, Inventory Optimization), experience with the integration of IBP to SAP and other 3rd party products, and 5 years of lT/lS Consulting experience.
- Desired: Prior experience with the SAP Advanced Planning and Operations toolset.
- Demonstrated leadership of teams (minimum 4 people);
- Up to 50% of travel required depending on the project.
- US Citizenship required.
