About the role:
The Director of Strategic Deals offers transformational solutions and BPO/BPS, across operations and technology, spanning the customer lifecycles of leading technology and digital native companies. This role is more of a strategic deal closer versus hunter running full life cycle BPO deals for the Insurance sector.
As a strategic member of the Insurance organization, the Director of Strategic Deals will assess and negotiate new business opportunities that align with the Company's overall strategic growth objectives. This position will contribute to the strength, capabilities, and reputation of our client in the global marketplace while expanding the customer base, revenue, and profitability.
Accountabilities:
- Develop a winning and scalable sales strategy that generates revenue and achieves assigned goals.
- Directly manage the sales lifecycle through close.
- Develop and execute business plans to include shaping deals, solutioning, pricing, negotiating, finalizing sales contracts, closing deals, and managing customer relations.
- Effectively construct and tell a compelling and clear story around the value proposition, both orally and in presentations.
- Deliver the required business outcomes to customers while protecting the interests of the executives team and stakeholders.
- Be a key member of the senior management team and contribute to shaping the company's overall strategy.
Experience & Qualifications:
- A deep understanding of, and interest in, the insurance ecosystem with the ability to explain solutions in a simple and engaging way-- must be great at storytelling.
- Ability to write and present proposals, respond to RFPs, and document activities.
- Confident in interacting with and influencing senior leaders; with an ability to analyze data, synthesize and present results to C-Suite executives.
- A strong ability to build relationships with decision-makers.
- Strong leadership skills and an ability to work with various teams inspiring them to deliver above and beyond.
- Business foresight and the ability to strategize and demonstrate deep business insight that helps identify and develop strategic opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communicator with strong presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and driven with a demonstrated ability to work independently.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and a keen business acumen.
Required Experience:
- Brings more than 13 years of hands-on sales knowledge negotiating and closing strategic deals of varied scopes, with a demonstrated track record of new services acquisition, through a consultative sales process focused on business led imperatives with decision maker and influencer contacts, successfully delivering against aggressive targets.
- Experience within the Business Process Management industry with a demonstrated track record of successfully delivering against aggressive targets.
- In-depth knowledge of Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance BPS Sales.
- Experience driving significant revenue growth in a P&C Insurance vertical with a global delivery model.
- A passion for BPO/BPM and Insurance-- a thought leader, knows the industry, market trends, etc.
- Hands-on experience with large scale Insurance BPS Outsourcing and Transformation sales cycles.
- Experience driving strategic deals across P&C Insurance.
- Executive gravitas; confident calling at the C-level.
- End to end responsibility of deal shaping and winning--Insurance industry domain knowledge is a must!
- Comfortable with domestic and international travel, as needed per deal.
- A proven and consistent track record exceeding revenue and order booking quotas.
- Possess superior client facing skills, strong ability to articulate, and deliver compelling presentations.
- Strong closing skills, coupled with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into client business terms.
- Strong value proposition, proposal creation and deal-structuring skills.

- Number of deals signed / Total contract value signed.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
Compensation includes a higher base salary / lower bonus structure. Salary is determined by location, experience, and internal equity.
