Overview

Key responsibilities

• Designing, coding, and testing custom SAP applications using ABAP programming language and the RAP framework.
• Collaborating with functional and technical teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Developing and modifying SAP reports, interfaces, forms, and enhancements as per business needs.
• Performing code reviews and optimizing existing ABAP programs for better performance and scalability.
• Debugging and troubleshooting issues within SAP modules and implementing effective solutions.
• Configuring and customizing SAP applications to align with clients' specific business processes.
• Participating in full lifecycle implementation projects and providing post-implementation support.
• Conducting thorough unit and integration testing to ensure reliability and quality of developed applications.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP applications with other systems and platforms.
• Training end-users on new SAP functionalities and enhancements.
• Staying updated with the latest SAP technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement in development processes.
• Documenting technical specifications, user guides, and system configurations.
• Providing technical expertise and support to resolve complex SAP issues.
• Participating in regular meetings and knowledge sharing sessions with the team to foster a collaborative work environment.
• Adhering to established coding standards and development methodologies.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an SAP ABAP Consultant with expertise in the RAP framework.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP modules such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, and SAP NetWeaver.
• Proficiency in ABAP programming language, including ABAP Objects, BAPIs, BADIs, and RFCs.
• Experience in developing custom solutions using SAP RAP framework and building Fiori elements applications.
• Strong understanding of SAP data dictionary, data modeling, and database concepts.
• Ability to analyze complex business processes and translate them into technical requirements.
• Expertise in debugging and performance tuning of ABAP programs and SQL queries.
• Good understanding of integration technologies and web services in the SAP landscape.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Certifications in SAP ABAP development and RAP framework will be a plus.
• Experience in agile development methodologies and familiarity with DevOps practices.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Ability to adapt to evolving business requirements and quickly learn new technologies.
