Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure and cut insulation materials to specified dimensions
• Install insulation around piping, tanks, vessels, or ductwork
• Secure insulation with staples, tape, or screws
• Apply sealants to insulation to ensure airtightness
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Inspect insulation for damage or deterioration
• Maintain and operate insulation equipment
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects
• Provide cost estimates for insulation projects
• Adhere to quality standards and regulations
• Conduct on-site measurements and assessments
• Document work progress and materials used
• Handle and dispose of insulation materials properly
• Attend training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in insulation
• Demonstrated experience as an insulator in steel construction
• Knowledge of insulation materials and their applications
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Familiarity with insulation installation techniques and procedures
• Understanding of safety protocols and procedures in construction settings
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Proficiency in using insulation tools and equipment
• Attention to detail and quality of work
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Adherence to industry regulations and best practices
• Willingness to undergo safety training and certifications
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments
