Our opportunity

Zurich Insurance is seeking highly skilled individuals like you to join our Global AI Governance Team to drive responsible AI innovation. You will play a crucial role in governing and operationalizing AI solutions for the insurance business. You will be responsible for ensuring that AI solutions are being developed and deployed in a way that is fulfilling high standards of AI quality and responsible AI, thus promoting sustainable and innovative AI solutions for insurance products and associated services.

Your role

As an AI Governance Expert, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing implementation and operationalization support and advisory on Zurich’s AI Governance Framework, including policies, processes, platforms and tools, across business units and group functions
  • Assessing and mitigating risks, such as unfair bias, in AI algorithms and models, including LLM-based / GenAI solutions, along the insurance value chain
  • Collaborating with highly diverse, cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with internal and external governance requirements, including audits (internal and external perspective)
  • Driving AI literacy and improving awareness of AI governance risks and challenges across the organization, including the design and hosting of training sessions for relevant stakeholders
  • Dynamically adjusting and updating AI governance / GenAI controls and guardrails, including their integration into tools, systems and platforms to drive automation and insights.
  • Collaborate closely with data scientists, computer scientists, ML engineers, architects and stakeholders from the business and assurance functions (risk/model risk, legal/privacy, compliance) to drive responsible AI consistently across the organization
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest regulatory developments and technology advancements in the field of GenAI, in particular.

Overall, an AI Governance Expert plays a crucial role in ensuring that AI technologies are developed and deployed in a safe and responsible, balancing the benefits and opportunities of AI with the potential risks in order to best serve our customers.

Your Skills And Experience

As an AI Governance Expert, your skills and experience will ideally include:

  • 4+ years of experience and sound understanding of AI/ML and data analytics, data & AI governance, IT and governance of emerging digital technologies.
  • Data science / computer science background and/or business analyst capabilities, including an understanding of MLOps
  • Data visualization capabilities (e.g., PowerBI & PowerApps) to support and design technical solutions, provide for maintenance and compliance)
  • Genuine interest for Responsible AI & digital sustainability, including sensitivity for AI-related privacy challenges, international data & digital regulatory developments
  • Strong communication skills, integrated thinking across businesses and group functions to work effectively with cross-functional teams and a variety of different stakeholders across the global organization
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills (Agile / Lean)
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
