Sitation is seeking a skilled PHP Software Developer who will play a central role in the development of client applications using our data middleware product, Patchbay. Your primary focus will be developing and maintaining these applications within Sitation’s software engineering and builds group. We seek a passionate, technically proficient candidate who can provide technical leadership, collaborate closely with the internal team, and effectively execute development strategies.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Working on the development and maintenance of web and CLI applications using PHP by writing great code, promoting and implementing best software practices, and helping shape the overall architecture of the Sitation product codebase.
- Providing technical guidance and leadership to the development team.
- Helping to triage and solve issues with existing client implements, as needed.
- Collaborating with engineering management and team leads to organize and implement development plans, including ticket refinement.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in web development to enhance product capabilities.
- Contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in PHP development.
- Proven experience in executing on development projects.
- Excellent knowledge of databases, version control tools, and developing web services.
- Passion for best design and coding practice, including testing methodologies.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
These aren’t requirements, but you’ll be an especially strong candidate if you have:
- Experience in working with AI platforms like OpenAI
- Experience with MongoDB
- Background in writing code other developers use
- Background in writing comprehensive documentation
- Background in writing and executing architecture strategy
- Background in shipping software with testing strategies
