****Hiring for 3 territories and must live in assigned territory****


Greater New York, LI and Northern New Jersey territory (must reside in Greater New York City, Long Island, Northern New Jersey)

Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico territory (must reside in Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico)

Southern California, Arizona, Nevada territory (must reside in Southern California (Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, etc), Arizona, Nevada)


PURPOSE OF POSITION

  

The Regional Sales Consultant is responsible for driving revenue in an assigned territory through the sale of Definiti retirement solutions – including traditional Defined Contribution/Defined Benefit administration TPA services (including Cash Balance as well as Actuarial), 3(16) services, pension outsourcing, and full-scope retirement consulting. These solutions will be sold through all financial intermediaries that reside in assigned territory – across all plan size markets. The candidate will be domiciled in the assigned territory.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve sales goal in assigned territory by prospecting new clients.
  • Develop and maintain a network of advisors, consultants, platform wholesalers, DCIO partners, and other retirement service-focused professionals.
  • Foster plan sponsor relationships through direct meetings with key contacts and partners.
  • Manage a territory of targeted relationships.
  • Maintain appropriate data to analyze challenges, success, and opportunities.
  • Partner with leadership to create and implement strategies for accelerated growth.
  • Align resources across the organization to achieve top-line revenue and profit objectives.
  • Manage travel, entertainment, and distribution partnership budgets where necessary.


Requirements

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the retirement plan industry with proven track record of success in the distribution (sales) of recordkeeping and administrative services.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development of strategic business plans in support of sales growth.
  • Solid working knowledge of retirement plan services, sales operations, and implementation.
  • Domain expertise in the retirement services market, understanding of platforms/solutions/distribution & service models, key competitors, and centers of influence.
  • Current QKA, CPFA or CPFC designation(s) or ability to obtain at least one designation with 12 months of hire.
  • Approximately 50% travel required in assigned region.

  • Be online and available to work during designated business hours in local time zone
  • Accustomed to using Microsoft Teams (or similar virtual-meeting applications) to meet with colleagues regularly on video and use the chat feature for quick communications. We utilize many Microsoft Teams features (such as Channels and file storage) for announcements, relevant conversations, and file sharing. Familiarity with Microsoft Teams is a plus
  • Accustomed with file-storage and file-sharing tools such as Microsoft SharePoint
