Data Protection Engineer
Enterprise Technology and Experience

We’re looking to hire a Data Protection Engineer to join our Employee Technology and Experience Organization working with the Office 365 Delivery Team.

What your days and weeks will include...
researching the ever-changing capabilities of Microsoft 365 Compliance platform, performing proof of technology, and working with Microsoft as a lead systems consultant
continually learning and expanding on the capabilities of Microsoft 365 compliance suite and working directly with Microsoft to achieve successful outcomes
working with Project and Functional Managers to assist in building strong governance models, best practices, and strategies around solutions
working closely with Security and Data Governance teams on projects
Basic Qualifications.
Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of IT Experience

Skills
Understands the importance of a data protection strategy and follows data protection best practices
Familiarity with data management concepts including regulatory requirements, data classification, labeling, alerting, and logging
Strong understanding of security & compliance controls in cloud environments (e.g. Microsoft 365, Google Cloud Platform, AWS) and SaaS services hardening.
Strong knowledge of the Microsoft 365 E5 Compliance suite, specifically creating, managing, and monitoring polices required.
Strong knowledge of Cloud App Security Brokers (CASB), Data Loss Prevention (DLP) & Encryption required.
Experience integrating data protection tools with cloud collaboration platforms (e.g. Google Workspace, Slack, & Zoom)
Experience in administration of the Microsoft 365 Platform a plus
Microsoft SC-400 certification a plus
Knowledge of Microsoft Graph API is a plus
