Your missions

Wondering what’s within Beckman Coulter Diagnostics? Take a closer look.

At first glance, you’ll see that for more than 80 years we’ve been dedicated to advancing and optimizing the laboratory to move science and healthcare forward.  Join a team where you can be heard, be supported, and always be yourself. We’re building a culture that celebrates backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives of all our associates. Look again and you’ll see we are invested in you, providing the opportunity to build a meaningful career, be creative, and try new things with the support you need to be successful.

Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is proud to work alongside a community of six fellow Diagnostics Companies at Danaher. Together, we’re working at the pace of change to improve patient lives with diagnostic tools that address the world’s biggest health challenges.

Join Beckman Coulter Diagnostics and make a real impact as our Communications Manager, Europe. As part of our dynamic Internal Corporate Communications team, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our future in Developed Markets and Global Service. We're not just about diagnostics; we're about advancing healthcare, improving patient lives, and embracing diversity.

Your primary focus will be to directly support the Vice President and General Manager of Commercial Operations in Europe by establishing an internal communications strategy to unite team members around culture and business priorities. This role will also work closely with six General Managers across Europe. You will report into the global Corporate Communications team and your work will bring to life Beckman Coulter's business strategy, reinforce our employer brand, and put the spotlight on our culture of diversity, equity and inclusion in Europe.

We are looking for a creative storyteller who will translate corporate strategy into compelling content that resonates on a deeper human level. As Communications Manager, Europe, you will distill complex topics into clear messages and work alongside senior leaders to deliver them through written, spoken and visual channels (executive email, talking points, town halls, presentations, videos, etc).

This role involves traveling at least once per month. However, the travel requirements will be higher initially to support thorough onboarding and may also increase during certain times of the year. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of an international airport to facilitate short-notice travel and maintain operational efficiency.

Join us on our mission to Relentlessly Reimagine Healthcare, One Diagnosis at a Time. If you want to make a real difference in the world and add to the passion and joy we find in the communications work we do here at Beckman Coulter, we're looking forward to welcoming you as part of our team.

In this role you will:

  • Develop strategic internal communication plans for our European commercial organization

  • Collaborate with leaders and experts to craft high-impact communications.

  • Create content to enhance our social media presence and support employee recruitment

  • Identify innovative solutions to complex communication challenges

  • Influence others and communicate challenging concepts effectively

  • Create a high performance culture of continuous improvement that is centered around our core behaviours

What Experience You’ll Bring:

  • A track record in communicating change for enterprise-wide initiatives

  • A strong creative capability to transform simple messages into communication that drives action

  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically; with urgency and enthusiasm

  • A strong attention to detail, superior time management and organizational skills

  • Experience with co-ordinating and crafting in person and virtual townhalls or annual kick off meetings

  • Ability to help drive cultural change such as corporate social responsibility as well as diversity, equity and inclusion strategies. Experience of working with employee resource groups is beneficial

The Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in field with experience or Master's degree

  • Experience developing communications programs that engage and motivate employees

  • Global project management expertise and a familiarity working with multiple lines of business and a diverse workforce

  • Expert writing, editing and presentation skills

  • Fluent written and spoken English
