Senior Health Informatics Solution Coordinator (Oncology)

As a Senior Health Informatics Solution Coordinator (Oncology), you are responsible for the operational support for multiple contracts/programs piloting innovative care transformation activities and reimbursement structures with providers across the country. This role will provide subject matter expertise on oncology and support to model participants by developing and maintaining oncology data collection specifications, understanding healthcare quality measures applicable to oncology practices, and answering questions from oncology practices and health IT Vendors.
Along with supporting oncology practices, this role will be responsible for learning the various CMS systems, processing critical forms and deliverables, and performing quality assurance.
In addition, this position may be asked to support specific projects within the contract including gathering FAQs, building and maintaining SOP's, analyzing changes to specifications and standards, performing quality assurance, and developing or updating participant-facing documents.
Typical work hours will be 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CT with some flexibility.
Essential Functions:
· Operational Support – Serves as subject matter expert to internal and external customers. Utilizes knowledge and expertise to research and resolve issues in a timely manner and to the customer's satisfaction. Provides direction to the internal team.
· Project Tasks & Requirements Analysis - Provides input based on subject, program, and product knowledge to the business and functional requirements for services, including enhancements. Completes tasks and deliverables on time. Provides input to the business and functional requirements for services, including enhancements based on program and product knowledge. Provides subject matter expertise to align program requirements with product requirements.
· Documentation - Creates, updates, and reviews documentation and provides input for clarification and detail, ensuring information is accurate, thorough, and follows established processes and compliance requirements (i.e. 508 compliance standards). Identifies where additional information is needed, and the most effective mode of creating and communicating that information.
· Quality Assurance - Collaborates with project leads to establish quality assurance processes. Conducts peer reviews/validation to identify issues and recommend changes if needed. Troubleshoots identified issues based on program knowledge and subject matter expertise. Completes tasks and deliverables on time.
· Knowledge Sharing – Contributes to the development of internal and external educational materials, including FAQs, user guides, and other guidance documents. Makes recommendations for new training material or enhancements based on program or product knowledge and expertise.
· Client Management – Assists with the management of client expectations and relationships.
Requirements:
· Four-year degree in business, health care, IT, and/or equivalent training or experience.
· 3-5 years of experience with oncology data collection standards or oncology clinical experience.
· Demonstrated experience in healthcare quality improvement, healthcare information management, and/or healthcare information technology (HIT)
· Experience with healthcare quality measures (e.g. dQMs, CQMs, eCQM, or Data Registry quality measures).
· Experience with Health IT (e.g. Certified EMR technologies, HL7, etc.)
· Experience with federal government rules and regulations (e.g. QPP, ONC, etc.)
· Understanding of healthcare data.
· Advanced knowledge and experience working with Windows, all Microsoft Office products, and other PC-based software products.
· Intermediate knowledge and experience with database applications, data trending/graphics, and reporting tools.
· Knowledge of Section 508 compliance and associated document formatting is preferred.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Previous experience in developing provider communications, documents, and direct interaction with healthcare practice staff is preferred.
