Role: Regional Sales Manager/Engineer (Midwest Region)

Location: This is a remote position. Candidates should live within the US Midwest region which includes Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, Michigan, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Missouri, or Iowa.

Your Impact

The Regional Sales Manager will meet or exceed sales goals in the assigned territory through direct selling efforts, training, and management. Qualitrol's success is rooted in a tradition of innovation, employee development, and “being best prepared” to address concerns around high-voltage asset reliability in industries such as Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Pulp& Paper, Mining, and others. Here’s Where You’ll Demonstrate Your Proficiencies

  • Plan and implement the sales strategy to achieve sales goals and sales & market-share objectives.
  • Maintain direct contact with customer accounts in geographic area of assigned responsibility & monitor customer satisfaction, industry trends & competitive product offerings, strategies, and activity.
  • Develop a successful representative network in assigned geographic area as needed through representative selection, training, and supervision.
  • Maintain company product training certifications as defined by Company.
  • Coordinate and attend key industry trade shows, seminars & conferences representing company products.
  • Maintain company databases as required (opportunity funnel, contact manager, outage schedule, etc.)

Qualifications - External

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • BSEE (Electrical Engineering), BSME (Mechanical Engineering) or other Engineering discipline is required.
  • Successful outside sales experience in high voltage equipment, electric utility & generation industry, and/or design & maintenance of generator / motor windings.
  • Sales experience working with or managing manufacturer’s representative firms.
  • Training & Experience in safety requirements for working with high voltage apparatus.
  • Demonstrated use of common business software programs such as MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Ability to travel extensively (up to 60%) and have a valid passport and driver's license.
  • Customer sites are generally power generating plants, sub-stations, Transmission, or Transformer environments.
