We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Remote Travel Agent to join our team and help our clients plan their dream cruise vacations.

Job Summary:

As a Remote Travel Agent focusing on cruise travel, you will be responsible for creating customized cruise itineraries, providing quotations, and delivering outstanding customer service. You will leverage your expertise in cruise travel to advise clients, handle bookings, and ensure a seamless travel experience from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Consultation - Engage with clients to understand their travel preferences, needs, and budget to recommend suitable cruise options.
    Itinerary Building-Design and customize cruise itineraries that include pre- and post-cruise arrangements, shore excursions, and other travel components.
  • Quotation & Booking-Provide accurate quotations and manage the booking process, including securing reservations, processing payments, and confirming travel details.
  • Customer Service-Offer exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and providing timely updates and support throughout the travel process.
  • Vendor Relations-Establish and maintain relationships with cruise lines, tour operators, and other travel suppliers to secure the best deals and exclusive offers for clients.
  • Documentation-Ensure all travel documents, including tickets, itineraries, and insurance, are accurately prepared and delivered to clients.
  • Market Research-Stay informed about the latest trends, promotions, and developments in the cruise industry to provide up-to-date advice and recommendations.
  • Sales & Upselling-Identify opportunities to upsell additional services such as travel insurance, excursions, and special packages to enhance the client’s travel experience.
  • Administrative Tasks-Maintain organized records of client interactions, bookings, and transactions using our CRM system.

Qualifications
  • Experience-Minimum of 2 years experience as a travel agent, with a focus on cruise travel preferred.
  • Customer Service Skills-Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of providing outstanding customer service.
  • Knowledge-In-depth knowledge of various cruise lines, destinations, and travel products.
  • Tech-Savvy-Proficiency in using travel booking software, CRM systems, and online research tools.
  • Detail-Oriented-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple bookings and client requests efficiently.
  • Problem-Solving-Ability to handle and resolve client issues and emergencies with a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Sales Ability-Demonstrated ability to upsell and cross-sell travel products and services.
  • Flexibility-Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client needs across different time zones.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in travel and tourism or relevant field.
  • Experience with major cruise line booking systems.
