Job description

Position Overview:

We are seeking an Accountant from the Philippines to join our team. In this role, you will contribute your expertise in Australian taxation to support our financial services. Additionally, you will utilize ERP systems for financial management and collaborate with clients to ensure their financial needs are met. This position offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and make a meaningful contribution to our financial services.

Key Responsibilities:


Australian Taxation Compliance: Ensure compliance with Australian taxation laws and regulations, including GST, income tax, and payroll tax. Prepare and file BAS, IAS, and Payroll Tax returns accurately and in a timely manner. 


Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements. Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance. 


ERP System Management: Utilize ERP systems such as Jobpac, Xero, or similar software to manage financial data, streamline accounting processes, and generate reports for clients.


Client Liaison: Interact with clients to gather financial information, answer queries, and provide exceptional client service. Offer expert advice on financial matters. 


Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. 


Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, efficiency improvements, and areas for financial growth. 


Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation to facilitate audits and compliance checks.


 Continual Learning: Stay up-to-date with changes in Australian taxation laws and regulations. Attend relevant training sessions or courses to enhance knowledge.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 

  • CPA certification is preferred but not required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and taxation, with a focus on Australian tax laws. 

  • Proficiency in ERP systems like Jobpac, Xero, or similar platforms. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Effective communication and client interaction skills.
