We are looking for a PR24 Portfolio Strategy Manager to join our team to advance our asset management portfolio of over £6bn investment for the period 2025-2030. In this important role you’ll be responsible for leading a small core team, coordinating expenditure planning across portfolio groups and the development of strategies to meet regulatory, business and customer outcomes for 2030 and beyond, including critical issues like achieving net zero carbon emissions, climate resilience and improving river quality.
You’ll gain an understanding of our strategic requirements and work with the Management and Main Board to agree the expenditure and performance constraints for each portfolio. You’ll also categorise the expenditure into the relevant Ofwat reporting data structures, responding to regulatory queries as required.
You’ll develop an energised change culture across portfolio stakeholders, including engineers, customer engagement and finance teams, and work with Portfolio Sponsors to develop strategies that meet the needs of the business and are supported by compelling evidence of customer support and cost efficiency. You’ll also collaboratively plan, at a high level, the deliverability of the plan with supply chain stakeholders and communicate the plan to internal and external stakeholders once submitted.

Proven understanding of the technical performance of assets, with an ability to optimise whole life cycle costs within a regulatory framework

Degree or equivalent
Ideally significant post qualification experience in asset management, engineering or front-line operations
Demonstrable experience in the development of regulatory requirements associated with environmental, product and service quality.
