Sales buyer Opportunity

  • Working hours: Weekdays 8.30 AM -5.30 PM / Saturday 8.30 AM-1.30PM ( during seasonal period and as and when required by the management
  • Working days: Monday to Friday and Saturday during seasonal time and as and when required by the management
  • Working method: (online, remote or hybrid) On site
  • Job location: Battaramulla

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and selecting appropriate product ranges based on current trends
  • Responsible for managing relationships and negotiating with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers Overall responsibility for Purchasing, Cost Estimating activities and timely deliveries
  • Reviewing performance indicators and managing stock levels including managing ageing inventory, promotions, sales and purchases
  • Work closely with Design/Development teams to source new and alternative products
  • Create and implement best buying practices and processes to improve business performance Visiting all locations in order to obtain store feedback and ensure all products are displayed in a suitable and timely manner
  • Working on improving the existing product lines

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a Buying or merchandizing role in which 2 years should be in similar capacity
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Should be highly skilled in numerical and have an excellent ability to analyze data
  • Academic/Professional Qualifications in Buying discipline
  • Preference will be given to candidates who are from Colombo and suburbs
  • Experience in lingerie/ night wear/ maternity wear product lines will be a distinctive advantage
