For one of its clients, ExpHire is seeking an ambitious PLC Programmer currently living in the Milan area and with 2-4 years of relevant work experience (programmable logic controller).

Responsibilities


The PLC Develeoper reports directly to the CTO and is expected to perform the following activities:

- Program PLC functionality and identify components (sensors/etc...) suitable to ensure its proper operation

- Coordinate with a team of internal and external resources to make sure projects are achieved on time and within budget and according to the designed solution

- Test code operation on breadboards/machinery

- Collaborate with the rest of the team in monitoring component assembly for prototyping and quality control

- ​​Dealing with suppliers/consultants/partners and management of the BOM (bill of materials)

- Provide to the CTO and co-founders a weekly update on the progresses/results achieved by the team

-  Collaborate and communicate effectively and transparently with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has the following experience and characteristics:

  • 2 to 6 Years of total work experience in PLC development preferably for automated machinery

  • Experience with TWINCAT platform and structured text language

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

  • Ability to work together with a team of engineers and external technical resources

  • Familiarity with electrical systems and willingness to help with electrical wiring

  • Hands on approach, accountability skills and a flexible attitude are a must

  • Knowledge at B2 level or above of the English language

  • Soft skills like autonomy, proactivity, energy and drive, organization and transparency are requested

Furthermore are highly appreciated:

  • A previous work experience on a project developing automated machinery for packaging optimization
