Network Engineer with VMware vRA, vRO, and NSX Design and Deployment Experience

This is a remote position.

As a Network Engineer with expertise in VMware vRA, vRO, and NSX design and deployment, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. Your primary focus will be on designing and deploying VMware vRA, vRO, and NSX solutions to meet the evolving needs of our organization and our clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, developers, and project managers, to deliver robust and reliable network solutions.

Requirements

• Design, configure, and deploy VMware vRealize Automation (vRA) and vRealize Orchestrator (vRO) solutions to automate network provisioning, configuration, and management processes.
  
• Implement and maintain VMware NSX infrastructure, including network virtualization, micro-segmentation, and firewall services.
  
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop network architecture designs that align with business objectives.
  
• Participate in the development and execution of project plans, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
  
• Configure and troubleshoot networking devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN concentrators.
  
• Monitor network performance, identify and resolve network issues, and optimize network infrastructure for maximum efficiency.
  
• Conduct regular security assessments and implement necessary measures to ensure network security and compliance with industry standards.
  
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
  
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and make recommendations for network infrastructure enhancements.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer, with a focus on VMware vRA, vRO, and NSX design and deployment.
  
• Strong knowledge of VMware vRealize Automation and Orchestrator, including blueprint development, workflow automation, and integration with third-party systems.
  
• Expertise in VMware NSX, including network virtualization, micro-segmentation, distributed firewalling, and load balancing.
  
• Proficiency in network protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and QoS.
  
• Experience with network security concepts and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability assessments.
  
• Solid understanding of data center architectures, including server virtualization, storage systems, and cloud infrastructure.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
  
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  
• Relevant certifications, such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP), are a plus.
