Term: 3 years with potential to extend for a further 3Time Commitment: 4 meetings per year, each lasting 2 to 3 hours, with preparation timeClosing date: midnight Thursday 16 May 2024

We're seeking a volunteer Independent Audit and Risk Committee Member to join us at Blue Cross, bringing their skills, experience, and passion to help us ensure the highest standards of governance and financial integrity.

If you have experience spanning some or all of audit, risk management, fundraising assurance, operational assurance (such as veterinary or animal welfare), IT projects or corporate governance, with a genuine passion for our mission and purpose, we invite you to join us!

The role of an Independent Audit and Risk Committee Member at Blue Cross is pivotal. Collaboration with fellow committee members to address governance and risk management issues will be integral to the role, contributing to the overall effectiveness and sustainability of our charity’s services and operations.

We are looking for candidates with previous experience spanning some or all of audit, risk management, fundraising assurance, operational assurance (such as veterinary or animal welfare), IT projects or corporate governance. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for our mission and values are essential. The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment is also important.

Your commitment to upholding the values and mission of Blue Cross is crucial. You should be ready to get involved and dedicated to attending meetings when required.
