Job description

This is a remote position.

Summary: As the Business Development Manager for a private school in Ghana, you will be responsible for driving growth and expansion initiatives to increase student enrollment, revenue, and brand visibility. You will develop and implement strategic plans to attract new students, forge partnerships, and enhance the school's market presence within the education sector.

Responsibilities:
1. Market Research and Analysis:
• Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats within the private school sector in Ghana.
• Analyze demographic data, socioeconomic factors, and other relevant information to inform strategic decision-making.
• Monitor competitor activities and assess their strengths, weaknesses, and market positioning.
2. Strategic Planning:
• Develop comprehensive business development plans aligned with the school's mission, vision, and growth objectives.
• Identify target markets and segments for student recruitment efforts based on research findings and market analysis.
• Set ambitious but achievable enrollment targets and revenue goals, with clear timelines and milestones.
3. Marketing and Promotion:
• Create marketing campaigns and promotional materials to showcase the school's unique value proposition and academic offerings.
• Utilize various channels, including digital marketing, social media, events, and partnerships, to reach prospective students and parents.
• Organize open houses, school tours, and information sessions to attract and engage with potential families.
4. Partnership Development:
• Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including educational consultants, community organizations, and government agencies.
• Explore opportunities for collaboration and partnership with local businesses, NGOs, and other institutions to enhance the school's reputation and visibility.
• Negotiate agreements and contracts with third-party vendors, sponsors, and service providers to support business development initiatives.
5. Admissions and Enrolment Management:
• Oversee the admissions process from inquiry to enrolment, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for prospective students and their families.
• Collaborate with the admissions team to develop effective recruitment strategies and enrolment tactics.
• Monitor enrolment trends, analyze data, and implement strategies to optimize conversion rates and retention.

Requirements
•   Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Education, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
•   Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or marketing roles, preferably within the education sector or a related industry.
•   Deep understanding of the private school market in Ghana, including regulatory requirements, customer preferences, and competitive dynamics.
•   Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and decision-makers.
•   Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
•   Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
•   Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and a results-oriented approach.
