Job description

Academic Advisor - South American Market (Remote)

  • We are looking for an ambitious and talented student recruitment professional to join our growing Admissions team. You will be directly responsible for the recruitment and enrolment of new BA & MA students in international markets.
  • You will be a strong communicator with high levels of empathy, a knowledge of the recruitment process and the ability to work remotely whilst collaborating with a team of 7 others in the Admissions Office.
  • You will liaise with our Student Office to coordinate the analysis and verification of student documents, provide answers and guidance on the courses we offer, and meet a recruitment target each intake.
  • You must be highly proficient in written and oral communication in both English as the primary working language and in your own native language (English, Spanish or Portuguese).
  • You must have a strong working knowledge of the recruitment cycle, how to communicate to both inform / advise / persuade and demonstrate an ability to deliver on short deadlines and assigned targets.

As an Academic Advisor, your primary job duties will include: 1. Contacting students who have registered an interest in our courses to schedule interviews. 2. Providing prospective students with detailed information about their chosen courses. 3. Carry out outbound phone campaigns directed at specific international markets e.g. Latin America. 4. Conduct webinars, online interviews (video and voice) professionally and educate our market. 5. Liaise with the Student Office to validate documentation throughout the enrolment process. 6. Advise prospecting students on their course options and encouraging enrolment where appropriate. 7. Meet a recruitment target of a certain number of students each academic intake (4x year). 8. Be the main point of contact for your list of prospective students in the enrolment process.

Your performance will be measured based on 3 key aspects: - Recruitment Performance - the number of students interviewed, enrolled and registered. - Collaboration / Teamwork - internal communication skills and support offers to your team. - Innovation & Initiative - your overall contributions to innovate within the team / wider school.

You will receive training, mentoring, workplace equipment and become part of a highly collaborative, effective recruitment team that deals with inbound and outbound communications campaigns to prospective students in 45+ countries around the world. It is a challenging role at times, intellectually, and you must have determination and focus to reach your recruitment results. If you have a previous sales, education or recruitment background, this is an advantage.
