Engineering Manager
Experience:
  • Prior experience in management or leadership roles in technology companies or teams
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery
  • Familiarity with the company's industry or similar sectors: Technology stat-up scene
  • Experience in scaling and growing engineering teams
Hard skills:
  • B2+ English level
  • Project management techniques
  • Agile methodologies knowledge
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles and practices
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools and technologies
  • In-depth technical knowledge of every aspect of the engineering process
Plus experience:
  • A master's degree
  • Specific programming language expertise
  • Technical background in the relevant engineering domain
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct 1:1 meetings
  • Develop trust with engineers to detect risks early
  • Gather stakeholder's insights about challenges, pain points and strategies that can be leveraged in supporting the engineer's growth strategy
  • Guide and support the developers through day-to-day challenges
  • Mentor the engineers in their career progression
  • Monitor engineer satisfaction and performance. Conduct performance reviews and performance improvement plans as needed.
  • Conduct interviews and asses potential candidates
  • Contributes to constantly improving internal processes so that they drive the expected results in the areas of responsibility of the engineering department
  • Influence colleagues to achieve the highest standards
