We are a fast-growing international IT company based in Greenwood Village, CO that specializes in analytics and AI solutions for financial services, manufacturing, telecommunications, government, and oil and gas. We are currently looking for a highly motivated System Administrator with a desire to break away from the corporate work environment and embrace a small, yet rapidly growing company atmosphere.

Job Description:

  • This position requires rotating on-call for production systems support
  • Experience with a variety of commercial Unix and Linux platforms and distributions
  • Shell Scripting experience is essential, formal programming experience is a plus
  • System performance tuning
  • A variety of software experiences
  • NAS and SAN Storage Administration experience
  • Network management including Bonding/Teaming interfaces, diagnosing network problems
  • Experience with Oracle RDBMS Database, Apache, Tomcat, VMware
  • This position requires Remote Install, Support, Monitoring and Maintenance of Client IT infrastructure
  • Excellent organizational skills

Skills Required:

  • Linux (Red Hat / SuSE) and Unix
  • Systems Patching and Backup/Restore
  • Crash diagnosis and resolution
  • Shell scripting
  • Unix file systems and logical volume management
  • Storage Administration
  • Installation and configuration of typical Linux software from both packages and source code
  • Systems management using Lights Out or Remote Access tools

Desirable Skills:

  • VMware, other systems virtualization technologies
  • Systems performance tuning
  • Network Management (switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, IDS, NMS)
  • Experience supporting Oracle RAC (ASM / Grid / etc)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, CIS or similar discipline, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of Systems Administration experience
