Job description

A renowned company in the HealthTech sector, is seeking a Software Engineering Manager for a fully remote position to lead the transformation of health research through technology.

Reporting directly to the VP of Engineering, your main responsibilities will be

What will you do in this position?

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of mobile and web applications, backend services, and data-driven solutions.
  • Lead and mentor engineering teams, promoting a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Manage software projects using Agile or Scrum methodologies, coordinating multidisciplinary teams for timely and high-quality project delivery.


To fulfill this position successfully, it is very important that you have the following characteristics:

What should you have beforehand?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong proficiency in JavaScript, Python, Java, or similar languages.
  • In-depth experience with native and cross-platform mobile app development frameworks (e.g., SwiftUI, React Native, Flutter) and web development technologies (e.g., HTML/CSS, React, Angular).
  • Comprehensive understanding of backend infrastructure, including databases (SQL, NoSQL), server-side frameworks (e.g., NestJS, Django), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), with a proven track record in project management methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions, with a passion for innovation and a proactive approach to improving development processes and tools.
