Description

Position Summary

In this management position and under direct supervision of the Clinical Leadership Team the position provides leadership, coordination, and clinical supervision to multidisciplinary team(s) and/or program(s).  Assists Clinical Leadership Team with quality improvement duties.  This position involves the oversight of Lead Behavior Technicians and BCBAs.  The Clinical Director will directly report to the Clinical Leadership Team. 

 

Essential Function(s)

  • Demonstrates the company mission, purpose, values and beliefs in everyday language and contact with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Maintains caseload as appropriate per clinic or company need; an average of  15-20 billable hours per week, which may include conducting initial assessments for your individual clinic(s), as needed. 

  • Provide coverage for clinical supervision, as needed, during times of transition and BCBA PTO coverage as allowed by individual insurance providers.

  • Will assist with on the ground support and collaboration with remote BCBAs for additional client support, as needed.

  • Ensure assigned  BCBA job expectations are being met via competency and performance checklists.

  • Ensure LBT job expectations are being met via competency and performance checklists for your respective clinic(s).

  • Provides safe, effective, and efficient implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures, research, and standards of care.

  • Oversees and manages clinical services provided by BTs/RBTs within the clinic. 

  • Works closely and collaboratively with the Center Manager to ensure overall success of their clinic. 

  • Continually communicates with ancillary providers and community partners to ensure continuity of care for members served.

  • Performs audits of  clinical staff documentation for SOAP notes, POCs, LT’s, etc.

  • Establishes and maintains a positive clinic and company wide culture and philosophy.

  • Promotes and maintains healthy relationships and communication between company lanes.

  • Provides input and suggestions for clinic policies and procedures designed by the Clinical Leadership Team, to ensure a successful roll out and implementation at their respective clinic.

  • Completes incident investigations and summaries for regulatory agencies, as necessary.

  • Responsible for ensuring regular supervision is occurring across all clients within their respective clinic.

  • Responsible for communicating client needs with BCBAs if staff are unsuccessful with treatment implementation, concerns about client behaviors, facilitating with oversight of follow through with interventions, etc.

  • Responsible for performance evaluations of assigned staff and completing required documentation on an as needed basis.

  • Responsible for conducting BCBA support meetings in accordance with company policy.

  • Collaborates with other staff in implementation of clinical  initiatives, and other services, as needed.

  • Available to travel to other facilities as needed, may include direct oversight of other clinics per company need.

  • Ensures complete and accurate records on interventions and behaviors of patients served.

  • Provides individual/group education and training for Student Analysts, RBTs, caregivers, and/or interns. 

  • Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, and/or changed at the discretion of management.

Qualifications

Job Requirements: 

  • Must be currently certified as a BCBA with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and any other state requirements by law.  2+ years of BCBA experience is preferred.  Individuals who have recently completed their Master's Degree and are waiting to take the BACB exam will be considered on an individual basis. 

  • Maintain good standing with the BACB.

  • Maintain CEU requirements required by the BACB and complete annual recertification requirements in a timely manner to ensure there is no lapse in certification.

  • Training and clinical experience in providing applied behavior analysis to children and families of varying development disabilities and varying impact of disability. Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders preferred. 

  • Analytical skills necessary in order to synthesize a variety of clinical and social  data to determine appropriate diagnosis, treatment plan and monitor  effectiveness of treatment programs. 

  • CentralReach experience is required.

The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

 

While performing the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, stand, move and walk at a brisk pace, sit, and use hands and arms to handle, feel and reach.  The position requires the ability to accompany patients anywhere.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop or kneel and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
