Who we are looking for: 

We are currently seeking an Engineering Subject Matter Specialist (Forescout)for a full-time position supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). remotely with occasional on-site requirements in New Cumberland, PA. 

The JETS Program provides the full range of IT services, technical and management expertise that support applications, software, hardware, infrastructure, and systems, across the DLA IT Enterprise. Support is provided for information technology solutions, technical support, maintenance, and sustainment; operations support; application development, maintenance and technical support; and lifecycle management. Additionally, the program also supports administrative program management support for IT program offices and DLA Information Operations (J6) Office.   The program provides support technology services across the DLA Information Operations Enterprise, the DLA Program Executive Offices (PEO), and all other technology services currently supported through DLA Contracting Services Office (DCSO) acquisitions. 

 This task will provide comprehensive engineering and customer support for the entire DLA FSEI toolset.  The toolset consists of the following: the software COTS tool, the Ubuntu Linux operating system (OS), which supports the COTS tool, and the physical and/or virtual appliances that host the OS. 

 

What your day-to-day will look like / Duties:

  • Provide technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environments.
  • Provide high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems that necessitate high-level knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.
  • Participate as needed in all phases of software development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, modeling, simulation, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases.
  • Provide on-site and off-site ForeScout professional services to customers including, product deployment, configuration, health checks, optimization, training, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with implementation capacity and network designs.
  • Coordinate pre-installation calls and provide written post-deployment summaries.
  • Contribute to the development of, and implement, best practices and training material.
  • Collaborate with government representatives regarding deployment techniques, feature requests, and product issues.
  • Experience installing, managing, and supporting production network and computer security systems comprised of multiple network hardware and software.
  • High-level knowledge of Linux/UNIX operating systems
  • Knowledge of security standards, procedures and technologies
  • Network administrator experience and network security experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills for audiences of varying levels of technical understanding.
  • Experience in DoD networks and processes.

  • Three (3) years relevant experience
  • Must possess active IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC)
  • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II or above (any one of the following certificates are acceptable)

What specifically does this role require:

Education: High School or Equivalent

Salary Range: Various factors are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, education, certifications, and competencies that align with the specified role, as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is: $120,000- $145,000.

Location: Horizon is headquartered in the heart of Tyson’s Corner, VA.  Remote position with Occasional on-site requirements in New Cumberland, PA.
