A leading Renewable Energy Investor, Developer and Advisor based in Bristol.
They develop large scale solar and battery storage projects in the UK, Canada, the US, Italy, Portugal, Lithuania, Spain, Germany and Ireland, working closely with landowners and local stakeholders to develop sites to the highest standards.

The Opportunity:
As Finance Business Partner, you will be a key member of the FP&A team, improving the accuracy of business forecasts and budgets, ultimately shaping the budgeting process.
Some of the responsibilities for this successful individual would be but not limited to:
You will play a pivotal role in supporting business decisions at all levels.
Working on a daily basis with members of operational staff. You will be working alongside and assisting your peers and confidently support making informed recommendations to senior management.
Partnering project managers to develop accurate budget and forecasts. Helping them with gate reviews and explaining variances between budgets and actual spend.
Working closely with the finance team to maintain accurate cashflow forecasts. Looking at the impact of different scenarios on levels of cash in the business.
Generating monthly reporting incl. KPI’s and key financial metrics. This includes working closely with the Development and Business Services team including non-financial metrics
Supporting ad hoc reporting and modelling requirements to look at the impact of significant business decisions.
Requirements
The successful Finance Business Partner will be/have:
This will be a great role for someone who wants to make their mark as a core member of the FP&A team and support the development team in making these projects a reality.
Be a fully Qualified Accountant - (ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW)
You don’t need to be from a renewables background, but you do need to be willing to learn as it will be essential you understand the development process
Experienced as a Finance Business Partner who is an excellent communicator and passionate about getting the numbers right
Comfortable supporting managers in the budgeting and forecasting process, incl. reviewing variances and challenging anomalies is important
You take pride in the accuracy and quality of your work. Integral to the role is gathering, analysing and presenting data and you will need to take ownership of the integrity of that data
You will want to make sure that the developers you work with to produce budgets and data enjoy working with you and feel empowered by the process
You will be effective in and enjoy reporting to the senior management team, learning what the KPIs of the business are and how you can best make a difference by understanding and reporting on them
Strong Excel skills are important and knowledge of Google Sheets would be an advantage
Experience using Google Apps Script would be a icing on the cake

This will be a hybrid role, with 1 - 2 days a week in the Bristol office, with additional days in the office during your training. This is flexible with occasions where additional days in the office are required to attend meetings and some weeks where you can work from home all week.
