Emerald Associates - IT Support Specialist

Emerald Associates is a leading Project Management Cloud solution provider. We are actively looking for IT Support Specialists with a blend of technical expertise in both IT support and infrastructure management to join our team in the APAC region. In this role, you will provide essential technical assistance to our clients while also contributing to the management and optimization of their IT infrastructure. This position requires a proactive problem solver who can seamlessly transition between supporting end-users and implementing infrastructure solutions.

The Role - Technology 

As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional technical support to our clients while also assisting in the management and maintenance of their IT infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with project management leaders to ensure the successful implementation of IT solutions that align with our clients' needs and objectives. This includes providing support for both on-premise and cloud-based environments, as well as contributing to the design and implementation of high availability and disaster recovery solutions.

The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative, proactive self-starter who is able to execute and communicate status and roadblocks using our project tools to ensure deliverables and deadlines are met in our fast-paced, customer driven project environments.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting issues in both Emerald Associates’ hosted solutions as well as customers’ environments
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of project management solutions across various environments (on-premise, cloud, hybrid)
  • Monitor IT systems and proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime
  • Implement leading edge and cost effective solutions
  • Contribute new ideas to drive continuous improvement in the future of cloud and AI
  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions
  • Integrate IT solutions into clients' hybrid environments, ensuring seamless operation and compatibility
  • Support internal and external clients to ensure uptime

Requirements
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach to support
  • Knowledge deploying, monitoring, and maintaining databases (especially Oracle)
  • Experience deploying Java applications and application servers (especially Weblogic)
  • Experience administering and scripting Linux and Windows environments
  • Expertise with hypervisors such as KVM, XenServer, VMWare, Hyper-V
  • Cloud Computing Experience (OCI, OVH, Azure, AWS, Google)
  • Knowledge of networking principles and hands-on experience with routing, firewalls, proxies, VLANs, etc.
  • Familiarity with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Saltstack
  • Excellent written and spoken English
