Job Summary:
A member of the Commercial Lines Placement Team, the Commercial Optimization Lead, will be responsible for premium optimization for select commercial new and renewal business. They will facilitate the placement of accounts and serve as a liaison for insurance carrier relationship management. This position is also responsible for carrying the organization’s reputation and professional manner of conducting business into dealing with customers, carriers and colleagues.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand growth goals with each Strategic Carrier Partners (SCPs) as well as Wholesure and the “Big 3”

  • Review expiration reports 120 days in advance and work with producers and service team to determine which accounts will be marketed to SCPs

  • Participate in renewal meetings to discuss marketing strategy for upcoming renewals

  • Facilitate the placement of accounts with Strategic Carrier Partners by determining which SCPs accounts will be marketed to and work with the Commercial Placement Specialist to ensure the submission is sent to them

  • Oversee potential book rolls to SCPs or Wholesure within the region and work with the carriers

  • Responsible for Wholesale Swap within Auris

  • Partner with Director of General/Select Commercial and Commercial Placement Team Lead to approve commercial new business accounts

  • Working closely with all Placement Specialists for any issues that they need help with

  • Maintain a high degree of familiarity and working relationship with various insurance companies, with a specific focus on Strategic Carrier Partners

  • Work with liaisons to keep staff apprised of insurance company products, website capabilities, contacts information, etc

  • Attend seminars, company meetings, or educational activities needed to improve overall job expertise and product knowledge

  • Work independently and within a team on special and nonrecurring and ongoing projects

  • Handle confidential and non-routine information

  • Abide by and maintain all licensing requirements, including continuing education
