Job description

The Travel Consultant will specialize in Greater Kruger and Madikwe, and will be responsible for designing and coordinating unforgettable safari experiences for our clients. Your expertise in these destinations will be pivotal in crafting personalized itineraries, providing expert advice and ensuring seamless travel arrangements. By leveraging your knowledge of the Greater Kruger and Madikwe regions, you will create bespoke safari adventures that exceed our clients' expectations.

  • Destination Expertise: Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the Greater Kruger and Madikwe regions, including wildlife, accommodations, activities, and seasonal variations.
  • Client Consultation: Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their preferences, interests, and budget constraints
  • Itinerary Design: Design tailored safari itineraries that align with client' preferences, ensuring a balance of wildlife experiences, accommodations and activities
  • Accommodation & Activity Booking: Coordinate bookings for lodges, camps, game drives, bush walks and other activities, ensuring availability and suitability for clients.
  • Travel Logistics: Arrange all travel logistics, including flights, transfers and ground transportation to ensure seamless travel experiences for clients.
  • Supplier Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with safari lodges, camps, tour operators and other suppliers in the Greater Kruger and Madikwe areas.
  • Sales & Revenue Generation: Meet sales targets by promoting tailored safari experiences and up selling additional services or upgrades.
  • Destination Knowledge and Enhancement: Stay updated on development, new accommodations and attractions in the Greater Kruger and Madikwe regions through continuous learning and research.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction by delivering personalized service, resolving issues promptly and soliciting feedback for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Travel Consultant or Safari Specialist, with a focus on the Greater Kruger and Madikwe regions.
  • Excellent knowledge of wildlife, ecosystems and safari experiences in the Greater Kruger and Madikwe areas.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in travel booking systems.
  • Sales-driven mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional customer services.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluency in English, additional languages advantageous
