Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Board Certified Behavior Analyst Responsibilities

  • Assess children using ABLLS, VB-MAPP, PEAK, Vineland and QABF, MAS, FAST and Functional Behavior Assessment as needed.
  • Ensure that medical record documentation protocols are complied with. Ensures that patients’ progress notes are entered into the medical records on a timely basis and in accordance with established organizational procedures.
  • Participate in education and training programs for patients, families, or community groups.
  • Responsible for choosing and implementing an appropriate assessment tool
  • A caseload of approximately 8 to 10 clients is to be maintained (minimum of 25 billable hours/ week)
  • Managing, supervising, mentoring and developing a team of approximately 10 RBTs
  • Complete RBT competency checks
  • Conducting weekly caregiver trainings
  • Conducting weekly meetings with staff
  • Providing supervision to Behavior Technicians & RBTs
  • Knowledge of CentralReach is a must

 

Board Certified Behavior Analyst Job Description & Expectations

  • Updating and maintaining appropriate programming for clients
  • Doing 6-month Plan of Cares and corresponding insurance calls (must follow company standard due dates)
  • Complete all intakes within 3 business days of the evaluations
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary team with Speech, OT and Special Education to provide the most comprehensive treatment possible.
  • Respond to maladaptive behaviors throughout the day and ensure that BIPs are in place and staff are trained on how to implement them.
  • Reporting any disciplinary actions that are needed for an RBT or Behavior technician to the Center Manager or Director of Operations. Any disciplinary action beyond a verbal warning or attendance should be conducted with the Center Manager.
  • Inform Center Manager of materials needed for purchase
  • Defuse challenging situations that might arise among staff and parents
  • Conduct weekly parent trainings and routine correspondence with parents
  • Supervise BCBA candidates as they work toward the exam
  • Must be resposive to clinical teams and leadership within 24 hours max

 

Job Requirements:

  • Must be currently certified as a BCBA with the Behavior Analytic Certification Board. Individuals who have recently completed their Master's Degree and are waiting to take the BACB exam will be considered on an individual basis.
  • Maintain CEU requirement and BCBA credential with Behavior Analytic Certification Board (BACB).
  • Obtain and maintain in good standing certification commiserate with treatment provided.
  • Training and clinical experience in providing applied behavior analysis to children and families. Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders preferred.
  • Analytical skills necessary in order to synthesize a variety of clinical and social data to determine appropriate diagnosis, treatment plan and monitor effectiveness of treatment programs.
  • Two years of postgraduate clinical experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Preferred for you to have taken the 8-hour supervisory course. If not, pease let Leadership know upon interview
