Job description

Position Summary

Provide support to the USA based Corporate Accounting department. This position will focus primarily on Divisions with Software as a Service (SaaS) product offerings and the related Revenue Recognition Accounting. This position will be required to provide detail oriented professional services for full cycle accounting such as prepare and file monthly, quarterly and annual payroll tax returns for federal, state and local taxes as assigned. In addition, this position will provide the highest level of customer service and support to clients and prioritize/resolve assigned tasks in case management system.  We require experience working with Software as a Service accounting and specifically working with ASC 606 Software Revenue Recognition and Internally Developed Software Capitalization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Accounting Manager with the preparation and analysis Monthly ASC 606 Revenue Recognition journal entries.
  • Completing monthly general ledger accounting reconciliations including Deferred Revenue and Unbilled Revenue.
  • Assist the Accounting Manager with the preparation of Monthly Revenue Reporting and Analysis including Revenue by Customer and Product.
  • Dealing with different types of tax requirements and analyzing of budgets.
  • Computing taxes, which are owed by the company, and preparing of tax returns in order to ensure that the company is making its tax payments on time.
  • Advising the clients regarding matters of future investments, different types of tax plans and on other types of financial matters.
  • Modifying and maintaining different accounting and record keeping systems with the help of computer technology.
  • Advising the management board about financial issues which are meant to encourage savings of the company.
  • Investigating the reasons of bankruptcies if any and avoiding the cropping up of such situations in the future.
  • Process tax filings and payments via e-file, batch agent files, mag media and EFT debit and credit.
  • Resolve tax notices while maintaining timely status updates in case management system.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or any related field of study
  • Certified public accountants have an added advantage over the accountants who do not have the required certification.
  • US GAAP accounting experience preferred.
  • 3-5 year's relevant work experience.

Required Licenses And/Or Certifications

  • CPA preferred; Certified public accountants have an added advantage over the accountants who do not have the required certification.
