Job description

Job Description:

The Senior of FP&A will be responsible for assisting the AVP of FP&A and providing organized and detail oriented financial reporting analysis and support within the Finance division of a growing financial company. They will assist in the supervision, management, and coordination of FP&A personnel in their charge.

 

Responsibilities: 

1.     Assist the AVP of FP&A to supervise staff, provide oversight and/or participate in the following functions:

2.     Implementation of monthly reporting for departmental budget owners and regularly review financial results.

3.     Support Financial Reporting applications.

4.     Analyze and consolidate Annual, Quarterly, and monthly forecast processes, including communication and coordination with budget owners, building templates, training different areas while analyzing information received.

5.     Provide monthly expense analysis and commentaries.

6.     Assist with budgeting, financial statement, loan covenants, cash-flow monitoring, and variance analysis.

7.     Organize the processing and analyze the financial statements, monthly reports, and cash flow reporting.

8.     Monitor and maintain integrity of the GL accounting system, specifically the chart of accounts and subaccount list.

9.     Update and maintain policies & procedure documentation.

10.  Assist in managing the financial staff results thru coaching, counseling, disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and performance assessment.

11.  Perform other job-related and management duties as directed by supervisor.

12.  Takes personal responsibility for actions. Leads by example, guiding the team to win/win solutions.

Requirements

Hard & Soft Skills

·        Strong English language skills, both written and spoken.

·        Strong understanding and experience with accrual accounting.

·        Proficient level of understanding and experience with Microsoft excel, preferably with experience using pivot tables, array functionality and macros.

·        Experience with Financial Reporting Applications/tools (Intacct, Hyperion, SAP etc.)

·        Experience using Power BI to design executive level presentations.

·        Communicates effectively in individual or group situations including demonstrating active listening skills.

·        Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, using accurate grammatical form, and able to read and interpret written information.

·        Ability to coach and develop more junior members of the finance team.

·        Ability to effectively interact with customer base and maintain excellent customer relations.

·        Ability to maintain confidentiality.

·        Ability to work effectively with other internal and external departments.

·        Ability to work independently and as a team player.

·        Problem solving skills are mandatory as well as ability to manage resources to complete team goals.

·        Excellent organizational and time management skills; strict attention to detail.

·        Excellent computer skills: Excel, Word, and E-mail. Sage Intacct is a plus.

Experience

·        C1 / B2 English language level.

·        3-to-5-year experience with multi-company / divisional financials, budgeting, and costing.

·        Experience developing systems, policies, and procedures for an accounting/finance division.

·        A minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. Master in finance is desirable.

·        Demonstrate professional written and verbal communication in individual or group applications, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, time management, task oriented, good interpersonal skills, patience, perseverance, and follow through skills.

 

Schedule: 

Monday - Friday / 9:00am - 6:00pm (COL Time)
