We are seeking an experienced AAA Game QA Manager to work remotely from Vancouver to join our team. The QA Manager will oversee our game's quality assurance process, ensuring that our AAA game meets the highest industry standards of playability, reliability, and performance. We hope to start communicating about QA business with the game development studio as early as possible in the preliminary stage, to demonstrate the value of our QA services and promote our QA services to the studio.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for our AAA game.
  • Supervise the daily activities of the QA team, including training, mentoring, and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (like Art, Design, Programming) to identify, report, and resolve game issues.
  • Identify and report game defects using relevant tools, and track bug resolution efforts.
  • Regularly review and refine QA processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance audits and prepare QA status reports.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of game systems to ensure they meet quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a QA Lead in the gaming industry, having worked on AAA game titles.
  • Strong knowledge of game testing methodologies, QA terminology, processes, and tools.
  • Excellent understanding of the game development cycle and the role of QA within it.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor a team of QA testers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with bug-tracking software and test management tools.
