Boeing is seeking a highly energetic and motivated Senior Product Support Engineer to join the AvionX team in a virtual capacity. The candidate selected for this role will provide technical guidance and leadership coordination across multiple teams and execution planning for AvionX In-Service activities across multiple products.
The Product Support Engineer will have direct accountability for identifying, collecting, organizing, synthesizing, analyzing, and summarizing key data related to in-service issues with AvionX products.
Work duties to include:
Tracks and maintains status and closure of all open issues. Works with partner Customer Support, System Engineering, Product Development, Production, and Repair station teams to properly manage and resolve all in service issues.
Leads the root case/corrective action activities for all in service issues. Reviews product definition, design, configuration data and works with product development teams to identify root cause and determine corrective action for issues.
Manages, plans, researches, develops, analyzes, and designs modification and repair solutions that comply with customer, regulatory, Safety and company requirements. Leads planning and design criteria identification to develop innovative, integrated support and maintenance infrastructure.
Performs analysis and planning efforts for the program to determine impacts, constraints and plans involving product development, production rates, process improvement, or program initiatives. Develops and posts planning, scheduling and change related metrics/reports/status as needed

Develop and maintain customer working relationships
Present Program performance reports to multiple partner organizations
Provide Support to business partners working directly with Airline Customers
Lead Cross functional In-Service teams in problem solving activities
Fault Isolation
Root cause identification
Fleet/Production Support plans
Preventative actions
Lessons Learned
Define and Develop AvionX Service Bulletins and related technical documentation
Lead cross functional team to complete program specific Service Bulletins
Interface with multiple organizations and Customer groups to approve Service bulletins
Establish release and coordination, tracking and status of Service Bulletin or technical resolution actions

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
5+ years of experience with fielded electronics products
5+ years of experience in electronic product maintenance, repair, and warranty
3+ years of experience communicating and working with a geographically distributed development and support team
3+ years of experience supporting both internal and external customers across multiple disciplines
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, software and systems. Experience working with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables.
Knowledge of customer, regulatory agency, industry, and company policies, practices, and procedures as they apply to technical documentation, support equipment, part interchangeability, data reliability analysis and data extraction, service related problem resolution and warranty settlement processes, etc. in support of projects and programs.
Previous experience with airline operations and maintenance
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
