UnspecifiedCollins Aerospace is seeking a highly motivated and organized Engineering Project Management Specialist to join the Enterprise Engineering organization. Reporting to the VP of Global Engineering Excellence, the Project Management Specialist will be integrated to the Global Engineering Excellence organization to help drive the strategy and transformation roadmap. This role is responsible for developing a plan for multiple projects and overseeing the phases of planning through execution to ensure initiatives are met.
We are looking for candidates who are proactive and can bring strong organizational and planning skills to the team. You must have the ability to coordinate across cross-functional, global teams and programs towards a unifying set of objectives.
This role is remote, however, there is a strong preference that the candidate is in a reasonably commutable distance to a Collins US location.
Primary Responsibilities:
Organizes tasks, identifies project goals, scope, metrics, desired outcomes and ensures distribution of tasks to drive project performance with assigned owners, milestone measurement, and adherence to schedule and execution
Proactively communicates to ensure team members are aware of timing and delivery expectations
Identifies issues that need to be escalated; presents recommendations to support risk reduction and continuous improvement
Coordinates and collaborates with leadership, project teams, various stakeholders across multiple levels and teams
Supports the functional strategic planning and goal alignment process
Applies lean and agile frameworks consistent with the CORE operating model
Coordinates regular project reviews and meeting cadences to track progress in accordance with timeline and milestones
Develops meeting agendas, records meeting minutes, and tracks actions
Prepares status reports and develops presentations for leadership briefings, program reviews, and delivers updates to stakeholders
Plans activities in accordance with enterprise calendar and keeps team members apprised of timelines and milestones
Maintains status and knowledge of ongoing projects in Engineering Excellence; manages control tower metrics
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
Must be willing and able to travel 10% of the time
U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required
Experience in facilitating meetings and presenting to senior leaders
Prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams and Outlook
Ability to communicate effectively and present to all levels of the organization
Ability to self-lead and manage simultaneous projects
Preferred Qualifications
Prior work experience in an aerospace or manufacturing environment
Experience working in a global, matrixed organization
Prior relevant program and project experience

This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program.
