The CSW Event will explore how and why women can succeed in the convenience industry. It will feature career development, education, problem-solving and networking. CSW will educate industry leaders and rising stars with general sessions, keynote speakers, panel discussions, breakout sessions, roundtable discussions, mentoring strategies, team assignments and activities.
We are seeking an experienced Territory Director of Sales to join our dynamic Retail (C-Store) Media & Events sales team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in consultative sales within the convenience industry, possessing an in-depth understanding of Winsight, now a part of Informa Connect, product offerings.
Integrated Platform Sales:
- Drive sales across an integrated platform offering comprehensive solutions to our customers.
Multifaceted Sales Execution:
- Execute sales strategies encompassing print, digital, events, custom, and research phases.
Client Relationship Building:
- Foster enduring relationships with clients by prioritizing exceptional customer focus.
- Develop a profound understanding of clients' business needs and objectives.
Strategic Territory Development:
- Formulate and implement a robust territory strategy to maximize sales opportunities.
- Continuously deepen knowledge and understanding of the convenience industry segment.
- Proactively manage projects and client deliverables, ensuring outstanding customer service.
- Collaborate across teams to share industry insights and generate innovative ideas.
- Leverage established relationships to aggressively pursue new business opportunities.
Forecasting and Reporting:
- Consistently forecast performance within a narrow margin of error.
- Maintain an aggressive sales pipeline with accurate reporting in CRM.
Sales Pipeline Management:
- Effectively manage the sales pipeline and undertake necessary sales administration tasks.
- Travel as needed to engage with clients and support sales initiatives.
- A minimum of 7 years of successful sales experience.
- Strong preference for candidates with specific experience in the convenience industry.
- Experience in sponsorship and exhibition sales, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Consultative Sales Skills:
- Proven track record in achieving or surpassing sales goals through a consultative approach in a competitive environment, selling comprehensive solutions.
Account Relationship Management:
- Demonstrated success in growing existing account relationships through upselling additional services.
- Proven ability to develop new business opportunities.
Complex Sales Cycle Management:
- Successful management of complex sales cycles, including identifying high-opportunity buyers, pipeline management, pre-call planning, presentations, negotiation, post-sale efforts, forecasting, and ongoing account management.
- Proficient in technology, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Salesforce, and marketing automation tools.
- Exceptional communication skills across written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal domains.
- Strong ability to communicate integrated event sponsorship and multimedia products within the industry.
- Highly organized and efficient, consistently meeting deadlines and completing tasks with strong attention to detail.
Collaborative Work Approach:
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
Initiative and Creativity:
- Responsible and motivated self-starter with a creative and solutions-oriented approach to sales.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
The pay range for this position is $100,000 - $115,000, plus commission, depending on experience.
