CSW will educate industry leaders and rising stars with general sessions, keynote speakers, panel discussions, breakout sessions, roundtable discussions, mentoring strategies, team assignments and activities.

Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Territory Director of Sales to join our dynamic Retail (C-Store) Media & Events sales team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in consultative sales within the convenience industry, possessing an in-depth understanding of Winsight, now a part of Informa Connect, product offerings.

  • Integrated Platform Sales:

    • Drive sales across an integrated platform offering comprehensive solutions to our customers.
  • Multifaceted Sales Execution:

    • Execute sales strategies encompassing print, digital, events, custom, and research phases.
  • Client Relationship Building:

    • Foster enduring relationships with clients by prioritizing exceptional customer focus.
    • Develop a profound understanding of clients' business needs and objectives.
  • Strategic Territory Development:

    • Formulate and implement a robust territory strategy to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Industry Knowledge:

    • Continuously deepen knowledge and understanding of the convenience industry segment.
  • Project Management:

    • Proactively manage projects and client deliverables, ensuring outstanding customer service.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration:

    • Collaborate across teams to share industry insights and generate innovative ideas.
  • Business Development:

    • Leverage established relationships to aggressively pursue new business opportunities.
  • Forecasting and Reporting:

    • Consistently forecast performance within a narrow margin of error.
    • Maintain an aggressive sales pipeline with accurate reporting in CRM.
  • Sales Pipeline Management:

    • Effectively manage the sales pipeline and undertake necessary sales administration tasks.
  • Travel:

    • Travel as needed to engage with clients and support sales initiatives.

  • Sales Expertise:

    • A minimum of 7 years of successful sales experience.
    • Strong preference for candidates with specific experience in the convenience industry.
    • Experience in sponsorship and exhibition sales, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Consultative Sales Skills:

    • Proven track record in achieving or surpassing sales goals through a consultative approach in a competitive environment, selling comprehensive solutions.
  • Account Relationship Management:

    • Demonstrated success in growing existing account relationships through upselling additional services.
    • Proven ability to develop new business opportunities.
  • Complex Sales Cycle Management:

    • Successful management of complex sales cycles, including identifying high-opportunity buyers, pipeline management, pre-call planning, presentations, negotiation, post-sale efforts, forecasting, and ongoing account management.
  • Technological Proficiency:

    • Proficient in technology, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Salesforce, and marketing automation tools.
  • Communication Skills:

    • Exceptional communication skills across written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal domains.
    • Strong ability to communicate integrated event sponsorship and multimedia products within the industry.
  • Organizational Efficiency:

    • Highly organized and efficient, consistently meeting deadlines and completing tasks with strong attention to detail.
  • Collaborative Work Approach:

    • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
  • Initiative and Creativity:

    • Responsible and motivated self-starter with a creative and solutions-oriented approach to sales.
  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.


The pay range for this position is $100,000 - $115,000, plus commission, depending on experience.
